Find a First Baptist Sunday School Class
Preschool 1: Toddlers ages 18 mos. to 3 years are learning to walk and talk. We help them by marching and singing to music about God's love. We tell simple stories about Jesus and make Sunday School a happy and loving place for them.
Preschool 2: 3-4 years old
Grades 3-4: We focus on learning God's word through fun activities.
We study the ABC's of becoming a Christian and we study the Books of the Bible.
Special Buddies: This class is for children with special needs.
Youth: Sunday School and Bible Study for Grades 7-12 are held in the Youth Center following our Worship Service each week. Classes for Junior High and Senior High are offered. God is doing great things in the life of our youth group! In both classes, the study is led from Bible passages to bring participants to a deeper understanding of what Scripture directs in their walk with Christ. Discussion is encouraged to involve students in the exploration of Scripture.
Fellowship and Friendship development are important components of the class time, which is only one of many opportunities for young people to meet together at FBC. They are currently also meeting on Sunday night at 6, Monday night at 6:30 (Bible Study), and Wednesday night at 6:30. We recently had a four day conference in Pigeon Forge, where we had several decisions made for Christ. We are soon going on a trip to Orlando. We are having fun when we fellowship, praise God, and worship together!
College and Career: The College and Career Class is under the leadership of Jessica Chambers and Paul Neese. We absolutely adore receiving new members in our class. We are not only interested in educating the spiritual side of a person, but also giving advice for those difficult milestones that we all encounter. If you are looking for a group of people who you can laugh with and have a good time, then you have found your class.
Adult 1: This class is composed of mature (60+) men and women who love the Lord. Many have raised families in this church and strongly support the importance of the Sunday School experience. We plan for and contribute to mission and ministry programs for our church and the community. All who visit and join this class report a blessing received.
Adult 2: This class is held in the sanctuary. It is a friendly group that welcomes all adults.
Adult 3: We are a fun group! The class is generally 50+ in age, all with mostly similar interests and who believe in the study of the Word while working to become more Christ-like each and every day of our lives. Sometimes we can make a lot of joyful noise during our discussions in our studies of the Word! We are like a family with not only much concern and love for our class members, but also for our church and our community. God has truly blessed us in so many ways.
Adult 4: (a.k.a. "The Renegades") is a diverse group of men and women spanning 40-70 years old. They meet in the Fellowship Hall to study God's word and strengthen their commitment to Christ. Members share their love for the Lord through outreach activities within the church and community. They buy school supplies for children in need; share with struggling families at Christmas; make donations to the Pregnancy Resource Center; and help those experiencing loss or a a health crisis. This class welcomes new members!
Adult 5: This class is located on the 3rd floor of the Sunday School Building. Our members are men and women in their mid-twenties, who are applying biblical truths to their lives. We provide outreach to the community and church family with events such as trunk-or-treat and Christmas Caroling, and raise money for projects through chili suppers, fish fries, and yard sales. We stay in touch with our Senior Adults, providing help as needed with yard work and home improvements.
Adult 6: Special Needs Adults
